The 2021 ReRun: Leadership Summit & Ministry Fair

Welcome to The 2021 ReRun: Leadership Summit & Ministry Fair. It is a new year and once again Mount Moriah is approaching a historical point in her journey — 140 years. As a church we are positioned to pivot and take our rightful place as God calls the Church forward to lead the world in the midst of political injustice, a pandemic era, and prejudices. There is an assignment to truly build life-changing relationships that bridge people to God. An assignment that involves you!

You have been called to this place at this moment in time to pursue all that God has destined for you to do. As shared with you in past, a summit is designed to inspire, inform, and involve you in executing the church’s strategy to bring the vision into fruition. We entered a new decade with a decision to run with the vision; now in 2021 it is time to rerun the vision. We are moving “From the 2020 Re-Mission to the 2021 Re-Vision.” The words Habakkuk received resonate with us even more on today, “…Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it. For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay.” There is still a vision for the appointed time…for 2021.

For this weekend, my hope and prayer is that you will gather the information shared, pray earnestly, and allow God to show you where He has designed and destined to use you for your good and His greater glory. Join in on each session and be encouraged. Take advantage of this virtual opportunity to impact the world for the Kingdom of God. I will see you on TONIGHT @ 6:30 pm online for our Leadership Summit.  If you are not registered for the Ministry Fair, please click here and register now.  I look forward to seeing you online and to all that God will do in you and through you in The 2021 ReRun!

In His Service,

Dr. Jerome E. King
Senior Pastor & Summit Host

MasterWork – “Spiritual Warfare”

Christians already have victory over the world through Jesus, but Satan picks a fight with believers, nonetheless, tempting them with the influences of the world in an effort to steal God’s glory. Indeed, the battle rages on, but the nature of the enemy is baldly exposed in Spiritual Warfare, helping us better understand feelings of resentment, anger, doubt, pride, and adversity for what they really are: fiery darts of deception.

Explore the Bible (Visit small groups for various times – Winter 2021 Study: Luke 1–9

In his Gospel, Luke highlighted Jesus’ great love for all people—especially Gentiles, the poor, women, social outcasts, and those labeled by society as sinners. For this reason, the Gospel of Luke has been called the “the Gospel of the underdog.” Ultimately, Luke’s Gospel is a testimony about God the Son as He took on human flesh and became the Son of Man. Thursday Night Live – (7:00 – 8:00 PM) – The Book of Jonah (Right Now Media)

Focused on the prophet rather than his prophecy, the story of Jonah gives us a picture of a man on the run due to his own selfish desires. Instead of showing mercy to his enemies, he determined to keep God’s grace to himself rather than share it with those he considered undeserving. Can you relate? Over the course of 8 verse-by-verse sessions, pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah’s story is our own. It offers a profound glimpse into the conflict that occurs when God calls resistant believers to His mission. More importantly, it underscores the depths of His compassion not only in redeeming the lost but redeeming those He has called to participate in His reconciling work.  Click here to see more…

Students’ Ministry (Wednesdays @ 7:00 PM) – Different

In this series, Jonathan Evans walks students (9-12th grades) through the parables in Luke to teach what it looks like for God to rule our lives. Though a life sold out for Christ might look backwards to everyone else, it actually points us back to how God intended our lives to be when he first created us. When God is king, he reverses the curse and flips everything we know on its head. We simply have to choose to follow his lead.  Watch here for more.

Celebrating Pastor’s 12th Year Anniversary

Mount Moriah, now is the time when we celebrate our Pastor on his 12th year of pastoral ministry at Mount Moriah Church.  This year’s theme is Honoring the Essential Pastor:  Leading through Crisis.  We have kicked off the celebration with 12 days of greetings and gifts.  Each day we will celebrate our Pastor with a greeting and gifts.

So find your tribe and day of celebration.  You will have an opportunity to send a love offering through online giving or through cashapp to $DoctorKing.  You can also send cards and other expressions of love via mail to Mount Moriah (P.O. Box 381, Tucker GA 30085) – checks should be made payable to Dr. Jerome E. King.  Be sure to represent on your day.  Let’s see which tribe leads the way on your day.  You may also include a special note in the memo section of your online or cashapp submission.  Remember, no gift is too small or too large.  It is our way of saying thank you for his teaching God’s word, shepherding God’s church, and answering God’s call.

We will culminate our celebration on Sunday, October 18 with Dr. Claybon Lea as our guest speaker and special ministry during our online worship service.  Invite your friends, family, co-works and neighbors to tune in to the online broadcast as we celebrate and thank God for sending us His essential gift in our senior pastor, Dr. Jerome E. King.

Clergy Appreciation 2020

October is national Clergy Appreciation Month, a time set aside to recognize the contributions and service of pastors, ministers, and all other clergy members that have impacted your life. So let us do as the Apostle Paul has urged us and that is to acknowledge those “who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you,” holding these spiritual leaders “in the highest regard in love because of their work”.

Take the time to reach out, send a card, make a call, and thank our ministers for their labor of love.
